Exhibition and Album Preview

Christa Ebert, known by her stage name Uno Lady, is an innovative musician and video artist based in Northeast Ohio. Renowned for her mesmerizing, live-looped vocal performances and nature-inspired compositions, Christa’s four-octave singing range transforms voice, electronic tools, and natural sounds into captivating sonic landscapes. Her artistry extends into visual storytelling, with nature-inspired stop-motion music videos accompanying her evocative soundscapes.

During her second residency at Akron Soul Train, Christa aims to complete her 10th Uno Lady album, a culmination of songs composed since 2019. This milestone will serve as the closing chapter of her current artistic phase and set the stage for a new project that will explore a groundbreaking approach to music-making, using electronic signals from old-growth trees to create MIDI-based compositions. Accompanied by experimental video albums, the project seeks to educate audiences about ecology, biodiversity, and the irreplaceable value of ancient forests. Christa’s innovative work bridges art, nature, and activism, furthering her mission to inspire environmental awareness through music.

A celebrated artist with nine releases, including the mindfulness video album GROUNDED, Christa’s career includes residencies with Chulitna Lodge, The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, and others. Beyond her artistic achievements, she holds degrees in Urban Studies and Public Administration, complemented by over two decades of environmental activism and nonprofit leadership. Currently, Christa contributes to the arts community as a member of the grants team at New Music USA, supporting the creation and appreciation of new music nationwide.
