Sanjib Bhattacharya

Trained in Manipuri Dance, Indian contemporary dance, and performing arts in New Delhi, India, Sanjib Bhattacharya is a seasoned performer. After a global tour, Bhattacharya immigrated to Cleveland in 2018, securing residency under the Outstanding Artist Visa. His collaboration with Akron Soul Train encompasses dance, music, and costume design, resulting in the creation of a theatrical performance titled Yatra. This production delves into themes of struggle, social isolation, and the transformative power of inclusion, diversity, and acceptance of change, guiding us towards a new direction of growth.

Sanjib Bhattacharya extended his artistic reach by partnering with Akron's Children's Museum, presenting a workshop titled Dance Sutra. This unique sequence of movements, influenced by the principles of Indian Classical & Contemporary Dance and Martial Arts, aims to enrich the mind, body, and soul.
